Mae Ysgol Cynwyd Sant yn ysgol gynradd Gymraeg sydd wedi'i lleoli yn nhref Maesteg. Mae'r adeilad wedi'i leoli'n uchel uwchben y dref, ac ar hyn o bryd mae 332 o ddisgyblion yn mynychu'r ysgol. Ysgol Cynwyd Sant is a Welsh primary school situated in the town of Maesteg. The school building enjoys an elevated position above the town, and has 322 pupils in attendance at present.
Mrs. Tegwen Ellis ydy pennaeth yr ysgol. Roedd Mrs. Ellis yn ddirprwy brifathrawes yn yr ysgol cyn cael ei phenodi'n bennaeth.The school's headteacher is Mrs. Tegwen Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was the deputy headteacher before being appointed to her present post.
Mrs. Sian Phillips ydy dirprwy'r ysgol, sydd yn athrawes ddosbarth blwyddyn chwech eleni.The deputy of the school is Mrs. Sian Phillips, who is the class teacher of year six this year.
Mae'r ysgol wedi recordio a chynhyrchu cryno ddisg o ganeuon gwreiddiol, Nadolig o'r enw CAROL@NADOLIG.COM, sydd yn cynnwys lleisiau'r plant, a rhai offerynnol. Mrs. Phillips gyfansoddodd y gerddoriaeth, a'r geiriau'n dod o wahanol ffynonellau, gan gynnwys Robin Samuel, W. Rhys Nicholas ac athrawon a chyn-ddisgyblion yr ysgol. Mae'r CD ar gael yn yr ysgol ac yn adnodd arbennig o dda ar gyfer y Nadolig!The school has recorded and produced a compact disk of original Christmas songs called CAROL@NADOLIG.COM, which contains children's voices, as well as instrumental versions of each carol. Mrs. Phillips composed the music for each, with the words coming from a variety of sources including Robin Samuel, W.Rhys Nicholas and the staff and ex pupils of the school. The CD is available through the school, and is a valuable asset to Christmas activities!
