Dosbarthiadau Cyfnod Allweddol Un * Key Stage One Classes

The emphasis for Under fives pupils is practical, investigative work through play, as well as developing key skills in Communication, Mathematics and Information Technology. Key Stage One pupils build on this, and enjoy investigative work in all areas of the National Curriculum, whilst using and developing their key skills to aid their learning. Here is the imaginative play corner in an Under fives class, where they use Mathematical skills and communication skills, to match pairs of socks and shoes, measure their feet, compare sizes and use money in a practical play situation. These role-play corners are changed regularly to match current themes and stories in each class.

Dyma siop esgidiau'r plant dan bump, lle maent yn defnyddio sgiliau Mathemategol a Chyfathrebu i fesur, didoli, cyfatebu, cymharu a chyfrif arian mewn sefyllfa chwarae rôl. Mae'r corneli chwarae rôl yma'n newid yn aml i gyd-fynd â'r themau a'r storiau o fewn y dosbarth.

One of the activities that the Under Five pupils enjoy is decorating their own pillow. They paint and print on material, and type their own name into the computer, to be transferred onto their pillow case. These pillows and cushions are then used by each child during story time. Here is an example of one.

Here are the staff who presently teach the key stage one pupils. These children range from three to seven years of age, and are taught in the under fives department, and in years one and two.
