Cyngor Ysgol * School Council
Mae CYNGOR YSGOL gennym ers sawl blwyddyn, sydd yn rhoi llais i ddisgyblion yr ysgol. Pob Hydref, mae'n rhaid i bob dosbarth o Gyfnod Allweddol 1 a 2 benderfynu ar y disgyblion mwyaf addas i sefyll ar y Cyngor. Rydym yn cynnal pleidlais ffurfiol o fewn yr ysgol i ethol dau gynrychiolydd o bob dosbarth.
We elect a SCHOOL COUNCIL each Autumn which gives the pupils the opportunity to voice their opinions about our school. Each class in Key Stage 1 and 2 has the task of appointing appropriate representatives, who have to prepare a manifest to persuade their fellow pupils to vote for them. A formal vote is held within the school to elect representatives from each class.
Mae pob disgybl yn dysgu llawer o bethau pwysig am gynnal Etholiad. Rydym yn trafod y rhinweddau sydd angen ar gynrychiolydd dosbarth, ac aelod o'r Cyngor megis y gallu i wrando ar eu ffrindiau, siarad o flaen cynulleidfa ac helpu eraill. Dyma rai o'r ddisgyblion yn gwneud pleidlais dros dau aelod o'u dosbarth nhw.
Every pupil learns some very important lessons about how a real Election is run. We discuss the virtues needed to be a good class reprentative and Council member, such as the ability to listen to their friends, speak confidently in front of an audience and help others. The pupils then vote for the two fellow class members who they felt would be a good representative, and the voting is held in exactly the same way as a real Election.
This year's project for the School Council was to re-vamp Key Stage Two's cloakrooms. They collected ideas and plans from pupils, and went about designing and implementing the changes to this area. The School Council regularly holds money raising activities to fund their projects throughout the year.
Prosiect eleni ar gyfer cyngor yr ysgol oedd gwella ystafell gotiau Cyfnod allweddol Dau. Casglon nhw nifer o syniadau a chynlluniau o ddisgyblion yr ysgol, gan ystyried anghenion iechyd a diogelwch cyn penderfynu sut i'w newid. Mae Cyngor yr ysgol yn cynnal nifer o weithgareddau yn ystod y flwyddyn i godi arian i gyflogi eu targedau.
